Malcolm Brown, Director of ELI, Visits CEIT at UQ
The director of the Educause Learning Initiative will visit CEIT at UQ this Friday, Nov. 20th. He'll be meeting with the CEIT staff to talk about collaboration opportunities with CEIT across a range of topics, with an emphasis on learning spaces, their design and assessment.

CEIT recently hosted the CEO of the New Media Consortium, Dr Larry Johnson, when he was in Australia to launch the 2009 Australia-New Zealand Report on emerging technologies and how they affect education. Dr Johnson delivered a public lecture at the University of Queensland in which he discussed the "Seven Ways Technology is Changing Everything".
MobilAP is a web-based, platform for creating interactive conference and classroom experiences. It contains features like question/response, discussion, link sharing and scheduling. The cornerstone of the project is a Mobile Safari based front end that has an optimized experience for users of the iPhone and iPod touch.
CEIT has implemented a MobilAP service as part of CEIT's web services suite. Some localisation for the Australian context is also being undertaken.
