UQ Joins edX

UQ joins edx

UQ joins the edX consortium. The not-for-profit online education initiative led by Harvard and MIT invited UQ to join in the latest group of institutions to become a part of the X-University community.

Vice chancellor Peter Høj said

 "edX is a leading provider of MOOCs. A plethora of fine institutions have expressed an interest in joining edX so it is a testament to UQ's quality teaching and research that we have been invited to join such a select group of elite global partners such as MIT, Harvard and UC Berkeley,"

The institutions in the current group joining with edX include:

  • Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Hong Kong (HKUSTx)
  • Kyoto University, Japan (KyotoUx)
  • Peking University, Beijing, China (PekingX),
  • Seoul National University, South Korea (SNUx),
  • singhua University, Beijing, China (TsinghuaX),
  • singhua University, Beijing, China (TsinghuaX),
  • Karolinska Institutet, Sweden (KIx)
  • Université catholique de Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium (LouvainX)
  • Technische Universität München, Germany (TUMx)
  • Berklee College of Music, Boston (BerkleeX)
  • Boston University, Boston (BUx)
  • Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. (CornellX),
